Broadening My Horizons Scholarship

  • This award provides $2,500 to a Ninety-Nines Full Member to be used towards specialty training.

    Specialty training would include: tailwheel, seaplane, glider, balloon, upset prevention and recovery training, introduction to aerobatics, dispatcher certificate, and CAM training.

    This scholarship cannot be used towards the ATP-CTP course.

    Applications are due May 31, 2025, at 2359 Pacific Time.

  • To be eligible for the Broadening My Horizons Scholarship, the applicant must:

    • Train within 99 miles of San Diego International Airport (KSAN)

    • Be a 99s Student Pilot Member or Full Member for at least 3 months prior to the submission deadline

    • Have a current and valid medical certificate

    • Have a student pilot certificate

    • Have a minimum of five hours flown in the 6 months prior to the application deadline

    • Receive their flight training within the United States

    • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance
