Join us for an exciting day where the skies and the roads come together.
Who?
The San Diego Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, other Southwest Ninety-Nines chapters, Womxn and Motorcycles group, other local Litas groups.
Why This Event?
Women pilots and motorcycle riders have a lot in common. Both learn to handle complex machines, navigate male-dominated spaces, and embrace the challenges of a high-risk, high-reward passion. This event is about bringing these two communities together to form new friendships, share experiences, and grow the network of fearless women pushing boundaries. Recruiting more women from similar adjacent hobbies and lifestyles can help continue to grow the 99s membership and network.

Women motorcycle riders looking for a unique meet-up.
Adventurous women who thrive on new challenges and connections.
Our Goal
We’re looking to bring together 20-30 women riders to watch the fly-in, connect with like-minded women, and expand a network of trailblazers—whether in the air or on the road.

Flying Companion Seminar
Do you have a fear of flying? Do you wish you knew what was happening in the cockpit?
This is the perfect opportunity to ease your fears and gain a better understanding of aviation. We are hosting a Flying Companion Seminar, designed for right-seat passengers who want to feel more confident and informed when flying in a small aircraft. Whether you are a spouse, friend, or frequent passenger, this seminar will equip you with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance your flying experience.
What You Will Learn
Understanding basic aircraft controls and instruments
Communicating with air traffic control
Reading charts and assisting with navigation

Spring Southwest Section Meeting
These semi-annual meetings, held in the Spring and Fall, are dedicated to conducting the business of the SW Section. Typically spanning three days, they also provide opportunities to attend seminars, hear from guest speakers, participate in local tours, network with fellow 99s, and renew friendships.

Fly-In to Warner Springs Gliderport (CL35)
Join us for a fly-in at the beautiful Warner Springs Gliderport (CL35).
Have you ever wondered what it's like to soar in a glider? Now is your chance to make that dream come true! This event includes a tour of the facility, and the opportunity for a glider training, scenic, and aerobatic flight.
Regular intro flight (20-40 min - depending on weather): $180-$250 (single) or $125-$180/ per person (dual passenger)
Aerobatic flight (25-30 min): $275

Enjoy appetizers and drinks as Kate introduces the Sling plane. Kate is a CFI-I with over 1500 hours on the Sling Plane.
After this moment of camaraderie, we’ll head next door to Tim’s, where you’ll get an up-close look at the plane under construction.

Bringing cookies to the Air Traffic Controllers is a cherished annual tradition that allows us to express our gratitude for the vital role they play in ensuring our skies stay safe.
This year, we are excited to revive this heartfelt gesture, recognizing the dedication and professionalism of these individuals who work tirelessly to manage air traffic.
And the amazing part is that we get to visit the Control Towers! How cool is that?
