In honor of the late Frankie B, an esteemed member of the San Diego 99s and famous air racer, we are proud to establish the Frankie B Memorial Air Race Scholarship.

Frankie's passion for aviation and dedication to air racing inspired many despite never owning her own aircraft. She participated in five air races, including four Pacific Air Races (PAR) and one Palms to Pines Race, achieving notable success alongside fellow pilots Marian DeLano and Doris Ritchey.

This scholarship aims to support pilots who share Frankie's love for air racing and her spirit of camaraderie within the aviation community.

This award provides up to $1,300 to be reimbursed to the winner to be used as reimbursement for the 2025 Air Race Classic Team Entry Fee.

Applicants must be a part of a registered team for the 2025 Air Race Classic.

To be eligible for the Frankie B Air Race Classic Scholarship:

• Applicant must be registered as part of a Team for the 2025 Air Race Classic

• Applicant must demonstrate a passion for aviation, participation in air races, and a desire to contribute positively to the aviation community

• Preference will be given to those with financial need and a strong dedication to furthering their aviation experiences

• Recipients will embody Frankie's determination, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence in aviation
