Marian R. DeLano Memorial Scholarship

  • Marian R. DeLano, born on November 13, 1917, in Wausau, Wisconsin, was a prominent figure in aviation, particularly known for her contributions to the advancement of women in the field. She was an active member of The Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots.

  • To be eligible for the Dottie Sanders Scholarship, the applicant must:

    • Be a female

    • Be a member of any chapter within the Southwest Section of The Ninety-Nines

    • Private Pilot students must have passed their written test and soloed

    • The scholarship is good for one rating or certificate only. Air Transport Rating not eligible

    • Must apply funds towards training within 90 days
