The Natasha Warshaw Instrument Training Scholarship
-
This scholarship honors Natasha Warshaw, an enthusiastic and accomplished private pilot whose passion for aviation touched everyone around her.
Natasha’s love of flying began in childhood, traveling with her parents in their 1962 Mooney out of Montgomery Airport in San Diego to destinations across California, Arizona, and Mexico. These early adventures sparked her lifelong enthusiasm for aviation, travel, and ultimately her pursuit of advanced ratings.
Natasha earned her private pilot license at age 21 after training at Santa Monica Flyers at the Santa Monica Airport. In 2023, she achieved her instrument rating, and by 2024 she was learning formation flying with fellow Mooney pilots and friends at SMO.
Flying was woven into every part of her life—she not only flew for pleasure but also used her Mooney to commute to her clients’ homes and between her work as a highly sought after hairdresser in top salons in Beverly Hills and La Jolla.
When she wasn’t working, Natasha could often be found flying low along the Malibu coastline or heading to Santa Ynez for her favorite barbecue. Her joy for flying was unmistakable—you could see it in her smile and hear it in her voice. She often expressed her gratitude with the heartfelt phrase, “I can’t believe I get to do this!”
This scholarship continues Natasha’s legacy by supporting an active member of the 99s in earning her Instrument Rating.
